What data do we collect from you?

When you visit our website, general data and information is automatically collected by our IT systems. This includes, among other things, the IP address, the date and exact time of access or the pages you visit. This data does not allow us to draw any conclusions about your person and we only use this data to statistically evaluate the use of our website and for the purpose of optimising and designing our website to meet your needs.

It is generally possible to use our website without entering personal data. We only collect personal data from you if you provide it to us. This is done in particular by completing a course registration form with the MEM Media Foundation. We also collect personal data from you when you contact us (e.g. by e-mail). When you contact us using the form, we collect your title, first name and surname as well as your contact details such as address, telephone number or e-mail address plus the course registration.

How do we use your personal data?

The personal data collected from you via our website is stored and used by us exclusively within the scope of the services you have registered for, such as the newsletter and for processing your enquiries and requests or for contacting you and the associated technical administration.

Do we pass on your data to third parties?

Your personal data will only be transferred to third parties

• for the provision of the services of the MEM Media Foundation (incl. administration of our website and provision of the services you have requested);
• if there is a legal obligation for the transfer; or

Which web analytics services do we use?

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, Mountain View (CA), USA (‘Google’). The cookies used by Google Analytics are stored on your computer or mobile device and enable your use of our website to be analysed.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website, such as browser type/version, operating system used, website from which the visit is made (referrer URL), IP address of the accessing computer and time of the server request are transmitted to a Google server (in particular in the USA) and stored there. We would like to point out that Google Analytics has been extended on this website to include IP anonymisation in order to ensure anonymised collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking). By activating IP anonymisation on this website, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. It is therefore not possible to identify your devices. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.

YouTube

Our website uses plugins from the YouTube site operated by Google. The operator of the pages is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited.

If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

We use suitable security measures to protect the personal data we collect from visitors to our website. The data we collect is stored on secure servers. We have appropriate technical and organisational security measures in place to prevent loss, destruction and manipulation. In addition, your data is protected against access, modification or dissemination by unauthorised persons. All data that you send to us via our registration and contact forms is transmitted in encrypted form. We use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) transmission, a security standard that is supported by most browsers.
