Cookies
We use our own cookies and cookies from partner companies on our website.
What are cookies and how are they used?
Cookies are small files that are stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit our website. We use the information obtained via such cookies to make it easier for you to visit and use our websites, to customise and improve the websites to the needs of visitors and for statistical purposes. No personal data is collected via the cookies used on our websites and the analysis is therefore always anonymous.
However, you can decide whether cookies from our websites may be stored on your computer. If you do not want this, you can deactivate the corresponding option in the system settings of your browser at any time or make the desired cookie setting. You can also delete cookies that have already been saved at any time.
Which cookies do we use?
We use both temporary and permanent cookies. Permanent cookies remain stored on your computer or mobile device even after a browser session has ended. This enables us to recognise you automatically during the next session and to display the website with your preferred settings (e.g. language). In this way, we aim to make our website more user-friendly, efficient and secure. The cookies are stored on your device for between one month and ten years and are automatically deleted after the programmed time has expired.
What happens if our cookies are restricted or completely disabled?
If you decide not to accept our cookies or the cookies of our partner companies, we would like to point out that you may not see certain information on our website and may not be able to use some functions that are intended to improve your visit.
Web analysis services
We use web analysis services on our website because we want to constantly improve so that we can offer you an even better service in the future. The web analysis services we use employ so-called tracking technologies to identify potential for improvement and for the needs-based design of our website.
Which web analytics services do we use?
Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, Mountain View (CA), USA (‘Google’). The cookies used by Google Analytics are stored on your computer or mobile device and enable your use of our website to be analysed.
The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website, such as browser type/version, operating system used, website from which the visit is made (referrer URL), IP address of the accessing computer and time of the server request are transmitted to a Google server (in particular in the USA) and stored there. We would like to point out that Google Analytics has been extended on this website to include IP anonymisation in order to ensure anonymised collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking). By activating IP anonymisation on this website, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. It is therefore not possible to identify your devices. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.
The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can find more information on the terms of use for Google Analytics and data protection at: https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or https://policies.google.com.
Google will use this information on our behalf to analyse your use of our website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us as the website operator with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The recipient of the data collected is Google.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by Google by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software; however, please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.
You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de; these so-called opt-out cookies prevent the future collection of your data by Google Analytics when you visit our website.
YouTube
Our website uses plugins from the YouTube site operated by Google. The operator of the pages is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited.
If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
Further information on the handling of user data can be found in YouTube's privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy
Hyperlinks
Our website contains hyperlinks to websites that are not operated or monitored by MEM Media Foundation. MEM Media Foundation is not responsible for their content or how they handle your personal data. We recommend that you read the data protection declarations applicable there.
In principle, we show you the links and a separate click is required to use third-party websites.
Data security
We use suitable security measures to protect the personal data we collect from visitors to our website. The data we collect is stored on secure servers. We have appropriate technical and organisational security measures in place to prevent loss, destruction and manipulation. In addition, your data is protected against access, modification or dissemination by unauthorised persons. All data that you send to us via our registration and contact forms is transmitted in encrypted form. We use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) transmission, a security standard that is supported by most browsers. In the knowledge that the transmission of information via the Internet always harbours a certain security risk, we are committed to continuously improving our security measures in line with technological developments.
Rights of data subjects
You have the right to request information from us about your personal data processed by us. If, despite our efforts to ensure that your data is correct and up to date, incorrect information about you is stored, you can request the correction or completion or even the deletion of your data stored by us.
